The book Ice Walker is an enlightening and original story about a polar bear’s precarious existence in the changing Arctic. Author, James Raffan is a prolific writer, speaker and geographer who has inspired and mentored youth on SOI expeditions since the first journey in 2000. Ice Walker is Raffan’s most recent book, but you might also recognize him from various other works such as Circling the Midnight Sun, Emperor of the North; Bark, Skin and Cedar; Fire in the Bones; and the Canada C3 commemorative book!
